Care Instructions
Dry Clean Recommended: For the best results and to preserve embroidery, delicate fabrics, and embellishments, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended. This is especially important for banarasi silk, designer, or heavily embellished blouses.
- Gentle Hand Wash (if allowed by care label)
- Fill a clean basin with cold water.
- Add a small amount of mild detergent meant for delicates (avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or fabric softeners).
- Gently submerge the blouse; softly agitate with hands. Do not scrub or wring the fabric.
- Rinse thoroughly in cold water until all detergent is removed.
- Press out water by gently pressing the blouse between clean towels. Do not twist or wring.
- Drying: Lay the blouse flat on a towel or hang it in a shaded, airy place to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colors and weaken fabric.
- Storage: Store completely dry blouses in a cool, dry space, ideally wrapped in cotton fabric or a muslin cover. Do not hang heavy or embellished blouses by shoulders for long as this can distort their shape.
- General Tips: Always check your blouse’s specific care label—manufacturer’s recommendations should be the final authority. For intricate/expensive blouses, dry cleaning is safest.
